Update Time!

Finally! At long last, I have a little bit of time to make a blog post. Lets see.....what's happened since the last time I've done a real post? Well, back in December I applied for an Electrician Apprenticeship Program. The entrance exam took place in January. I'm happy to report that I passed the exam, and if I make it through the committee board interview next week, I'll be enrolled in the five year program. At the end of that time I'll receive a Journeyman Wireman Card. That card would enable me to go anywhere in the U.S. and do electrical work. (Plus Puerto Rico and a few other territories.)

Spring Break is fastly approaching. I have a concert report due before March 1st, a music test, and a Math test (or two) before the 7th of March. I'm taking English Composition 111, Spanish 101, Music Appreciation 121, and Math 158, College Algebra. I'm glad that I only had two classes last semester. I think that allowed me to acclimate to a different learning environment without having too much on my plate. Spanish class is the most enjoyable for me. Even though I think it has the biggest workload, something about that language has got me fascinated. After Spanish, music class is next on my list of favorites. Right now we're finishing up the Renaissance era. English is probably next on my list. It's mostly just essays due every two or so weeks. At the one week point, we do peer editing in class. It's a hybrid class, so the majority of our assignments are on Tuesdays. On Thursdays our professor will post an assignment due by midnight on Saturday. Math is going better than I expected. Having taught myself for most of my highschool years, I wasn't sure how well I'd do in this class. As it turns out, I'm in the "A" group praise God! On my last test, I was expecting a C or a B. But it was a score of 74 out of a possible 76.

Dr. Dale Sides and his wife Vicki of LMCI (www.lmci.org) were here this past week. He did a two night class at our house, then a two night/one day class at the Hansen's house. Many were blessed and eyes were opened. He will be coming back into town in March to do another class. Very excited about that.

I think that just about wraps it up for this post. God bless, and have a great weekend!

Oh, for those of you who aren't local, we're having close to 80 degree weather right now. It's amazing to go outside without a heavy jacket!

Apologies

Hi everyone. I'm sorry about my lack of posts lately. I have been really busy with homework from college and I'm trying to slow down enough to be able to do things that I normally do. So, with all that said, I will endeavour to make a 'real' post sometime soon. Until then, stay well, stay safe, and be blessed.
