Good ol' Saint Patrick.

Hi everyone. For those of you who haven't come across this prayer before, may it empower you in your daily walk and bring to your remembrance the mightiness of our Creator.

                               Saint Patrick's Breastplate.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness
Of the Creator of Creation.
I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth with his baptism,
Through the strength of his crucifixion with his burial,
Through the strength of his resurrection with his ascension,
Through the strength of his descent for the judgment of Doom.

I arise today
Through the strength of the love of Cherubim,
In obedience of angels,
In the service of archangels,
In hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In prayers of patriarchs,
In predictions of prophets,
In preaching of apostles,
In faith of confessors,
In innocence of holy virgins,
In deeds of righteous men.

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven:
Light of sun,
Radiance of moon,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of wind,
Depth of sea,
Stability of earth,
Firmness of rock.

I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God’s host to save me,
From snares of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear,
Alone and in multitude.

I summon today all these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel merciless power that may oppose my body and soul
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul.

Christ to shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me abundance of reward.
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ on my right, Christ on my left
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every-ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness,
Of the Creator of Creation.

Saint Patrick’s great prayer, or also know as Saint Patrick’s Breastplate: written in the seventh or eight century.
I read this prayer in the book "How the Irish Saved Civilization: The Untold Story of Ireland's Heroic Role from the Fall of Rome to the Rise of Medieval Europe" by Thomas Cahill.

God bless you all,

And you guessed right. It's more pictures.

I took these about two weekends ago.

And some more...........

These are from the fair that they had at the Farmer's Market. TFC was one of the booths that was set up. They had one of their new trucks on 'display' if you will. It was a big hit with the kids.

At long last.........pictures

Hi everyone. Hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, and that no one got indigestion. (kidding) Here are some pictures that I was supposed to post about two weeks ago, but wasn't able to get to it till now. Enjoy! They are best viewed full size. (Click on the picture.)

Well.......if anyone can think of a better title, let me know

Yes, I know, it's been a bit since I've posted. My apologies. The past week has been somewhat busy. I'm going to post some pictures from last weekend, and some from this weekend. Friday night through Saturday afternoon, I was out at my friends house, and Saturday morning we went hunting. (deer) Then I was at the Food Bank Marathon Saturday night. Around midnight, I face-planted into the couch.....................you could say I was kinda tired.

P.S. Pictures to follow.

Random Pictures

Hey everyone. Here are some pictures from Celebrate Jesus Fall Festival, (October 31st). There aren't that many clear photos, because I didn't have the time to mess with my camera much, and I didn't have a tripod.

JACOB!

Oh yeah. He's so guilty!
Sorry John, you're busted.
No, seriously, it's just an Airsoft gun.

Well........it's the day after, but who cares?

Well well well, yesterday, my mom and dad celebrated a quarter century of marriage together! That's right, my dad's been married to my mom for 55.56% of his life. But my mom's only been married for 49% of her life. Go figure. Anyway, happy belated anniversary! Thanks for getting married, cause if you hadn't, then chances are, I wouldn't be writing this blog post! God's mighty blessings on both of your lives. I love you both. You're the best parents I've ever had. Oh wait.........hold on............ok..........ummmmm............. :D
No, seriously. I love you guys. Keep fighting the good fight. You two are the bows, and us kids are the arrows.

Yahooooo for Lizzy!!!

Hi everyone. My sister Elizabeth just created her own website! I'm very excited for her. The link is www.ehlphoto.com. Check it out. It's awesome. And to the people that were wondering if she had taken any pictures in Spain, there are some up on the site. Enjoy, and I'll try to post about something that lives up to the name of my blog soon.

My day

Ok, here's how my day went. Got up, had breakfast and coffee, did homework, graduated high school, did a presentation in my communications class, volunteered for another one on Tuesday, came home, did more homework for different class this weekend. Just finished one part, and tomorrow morning, I do the rest. Yep. That's how my day was. How was yours?
If you have any answers, leav'em in the comment section!
